SDC Education Charity Names New Leadership To Drive India’s Colouration And Sustainability Agenda

The Society of Dyers and Colourists Education Charity (India) has announced a new leadership team for the 2025 to 2027 term, marking a strategic shift toward deeper industry engagement, stronger sustainability programmes and advanced technical education. The appointments were finalised after the 19th Annual General Body Meeting on 25 October and the Trustees Board meeting on 24 November.

The organisation has named Sandeep Singh as the Hon. Chairman. He will guide national initiatives in colour science, textile dyeing education and CSR outreach while strengthening partnerships across academia and industry. Dr Mrinal Choudhary has taken charge as Hon. Secretary and will lead governance, communication and coordination of technical activities across India. Dr Pratima Goyal continues as Hon. Treasurer, ensuring financial discipline and transparency across all programmes.

The expanded Board of Trustees includes senior industry and academic figures such as Anjani Prasad, Dr Suman Mundkur, Shirpad Kher, Jayant Khera, Deepak Karade, Vignesh Amalraj, Dr Nandan Mahapatra, Bhamini Subramaniam and Dr Ruma Chakrabarti. Their combined expertise positions the Society to scale its mission at a time when India’s textile sector is rapidly adopting cleaner chemistry, green processes and advanced colouration technologies.

India’s textile value chain is witnessing a strong push toward sustainable chemical management and skilled talent development. The SDC Education Charity aims to play a catalytic role through new training modules, industry certifications and student-focused initiatives.
