New Delhi witnessed a strong celebration of India’s apparel
export achievements at the AEPC Excellence Honours Entrepreneurship and
Business Success Awards for 2023–24 and 2024–25, held on 20 December 2025. The
awards function brought together industry leaders, policymakers and exporters
to recognise excellence across global exports, entrepreneurship and
sustainability.
The Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri C. P.
Radhakrishnan, attended the ceremony as Chief Guest and underlined the
Government of India’s sustained and multi-dimensional support to the textiles
and apparel sector under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership. He
noted that the sector remains central to the vision of a Viksit and Aatma
Nirbhar Bharat, driven by exports, innovation and employment generation. The Vice
President also released a coffee table book titled Threads of Time Story of
India’s Textiles, capturing the heritage and evolution of the industry.
The event saw strong representation from Tiruppur based
exporters, reinforcing the cluster’s status as India’s knitwear export
powerhouse. SCM Garments Pvt Ltd secured first place in the Highest Global
Exports Knits category, while Best Corporation Pvt Ltd and Poppys Knitwear Pvt
Ltd claimed second and third positions respectively. Leadership from these
firms received awards in the presence of AEPC Chairman Shri Sudhir Sekhri and
Padmashri Dr. A. Sakthivel, Vice Chairman AEPC and Honorary Chairman of TEA.
Esstee Exports India Pvt Ltd earned second place in the
Highest Exports by New Entrepreneur category, highlighting the growing role of
young business leaders in export expansion. Jeyavishnu Clothing Pvt Ltd was
recognised with second place in the ESG category for both award years,
reflecting the industry’s increasing focus on sustainability and responsible
manufacturing.
Additional honours went to Tiruppur based companies
including Classic Cottonz, Best Tech Clothing Pvt Ltd, Jayashima Enterprises
India Pvt Ltd, Srie Flora Garments, S S G Apparels and Sags Apparels. Industry
data shows India’s apparel exports crossing US$17 billion in FY25, supported by
rising demand for sustainable and value-added products. The awards reinforced
confidence in India’s ability to strengthen its global apparel position through
quality, compliance and scale.
