Archroma Showcases Low Impact Denim Technologies At Denimsandjeans Egypt 2026

Archroma marked its debut at Denimsandjeans Egypt 2026 by presenting a comprehensive portfolio of sustainable denim innovations, reinforcing its commitment to low impact textile processing. The event took place on January 19 and 20 at the InterContinental Citystars Cairo, a venue that underscored Egypt’s growing importance in global denim sourcing.

The Switzerland based specialty chemicals major highlighted solutions designed to reduce environmental impact while maintaining colour intensity, fabric performance and production efficiency. Industry estimates indicate that denim manufacturing accounts for nearly 10% of global textile related water pollution, intensifying demand for cleaner dyeing and finishing technologies. Archroma’s solutions directly address this challenge through chemistry led innovation.

Key technologies on display included DENIM HALO, a pretreatment and dyeing system engineered to create distressed looks while delivering strong laser contrast on deep indigo and black shades. DIRESUL EVOLUTION BLACK attracted attention as the cleanest sulphur black dyestuff from Archroma, delivering an impact reduction of 57% during dye synthesis compared to conventional sulfur black. DENISOL PURE INDIGO 30 LIQ demonstrated how aniline free pre reduced indigo can achieve authentic denim shades while lowering pollution risks. EarthColors further showcased circular innovation through dyes derived from non-edible agricultural waste, supporting water footprint reduction and resource efficiency.

Archroma leadership emphasized that Egypt’s expanding manufacturing base presents a strong opportunity to scale sustainable denim production. Company experts engaged directly with mills and brands, outlining pathways to meet stricter global compliance norms while improving operational resilience. The showcase reinforced Archroma’s position as a key technology partner for denim producers seeking measurable sustainability gains without sacrificing design or productivity.
