The 6th edition of the
Fabrics, Accessories & Beyond Show (FAB Show 2026), organised by the
Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), concluded successfully at
the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. Held from April 2 to 4, the event brought
together the entire textile and garment value chain, with a strong focus on
innovation, sustainability and emerging technologies.
The show witnessed robust
participation from export houses, textile manufacturers and international
suppliers, reflecting continued confidence in India’s sourcing ecosystem
despite global market uncertainties.
The event was inaugurated
by industry leaders including Rushabh Gala (Zola Fashions), Deepak Sheta
(Indoera), Santosh Bandari Yadav (Aditya Birla), Kapil Biradar (Aditya Birla
Fashion & Retail), Pragati Srivastava (Raymond Lifestyle) and Essdee Shanmugasundaram,
President, South India Hosiery Manufacturers’ Association, among others.
Representatives from major regional associations including SGCCI, FTSI, GEA
Rajasthan, Indore Readymade Association and others were also present.
Spanning nearly 2 lakh sq.
ft., FAB Show 2026 hosted over 250 exhibitors, showcasing fabrics, trims,
accessories, machinery and ancillary services. The exhibition attracted an
estimated 14,000+ trade visitors from over 320 Indian cities, along with international
buyers from 27 countries, including Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the US, UAE, Egypt
and China.
A key highlight of the
edition was the debut of the International Pavilion, which brought global
suppliers alongside strong participation from major Indian textile clusters
such as Surat, Ahmedabad, Bhilwara, Jaipur, Ludhiana, Erode, Tiruppur,
Bengaluru and Mumbai.
Speaking on the occasion,
Santosh Katariya, President, CMAI, said, “FAB Show has become a key sourcing
platform. It helps the industry access reliable suppliers and improve
efficiency in a changing supply chain environment.”
The Surat Pavilion,
featuring over 50 stalls, highlighted the city’s transition from a
polyester-centric hub to a diversified textile centre producing cotton and
sustainable fabrics.
Technology and
sustainability emerged as central themes, with exhibitors showcasing AI-enabled
solutions for design, production, inventory and retail optimisation. A
dedicated Sustainability Pavilion, along with “Future Factory/Green Factory”
concepts by Magus Fashion City, underlined the industry’s shift towards
responsible manufacturing.
Naveen Sainani, Chairman,
FAB Show, said, “The industry is moving towards smarter and more sustainable
manufacturing. AI and green practices are becoming essential for
competitiveness.”
CMAI leadership, including
President Santosh Katariya, Vice Presidents Rohit Munjal and Ankur Gadia, Chief
Mentor Rahul Mehta, and other office bearers, were present throughout the
event.
With strong participation
across domestic and international stakeholders, FAB Show 2026 reinforced its
position as a key sourcing and networking platform, further strengthening
India’s role as a global textile and apparel hub.
