India has taken a major step toward strengthening its manufacturing ecosystem with the launch of the BHAVYA Portal under the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana. Union Commerce and Industry Minister Shri Piyush Goyal unveiled the digital platform to accelerate the development of 100 world class industrial parks across the country over the next six years.
The scheme carries a government outlay of ₹33,660 crore and aims to create investment ready industrial ecosystems featuring multimodal connectivity, digital governance, testing infrastructure, reliable utilities and worker support facilities. Industrial parks will range from 25 acres in smaller regions to 1,000 acres in major industrial centres.
Government projections indicate that the initiative could unlock substantial domestic and foreign investment while generating large scale employment opportunities. National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation will implement and monitor the programme through the portal, ensuring transparent project evaluation and real time tracking. Dedicated zones for startups, deep technology enterprises, research activities and innovation driven businesses are also planned, reinforcing India's ambition to become a globally competitive manufacturing powerhouse by 2047.
