NITRA Secures OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 Certification For CLOCell Milkweed Fibre

The Northern India Textile Research Association (NITRA) has achieved a significant milestone after receiving the globally recognised OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certification for its CLOCell Milkweed Fibre in raw white and natural form. Issued by Hohenstein Laboratories, the certification validates that the innovative fibre has been tested for harmful substances and complies with stringent international human ecological safety standards. The certificate remains valid until 30 June 2027.

The certification covers Product Class I, the most stringent category under the OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 framework, confirming the fibre is suitable for products intended for babies and sensitive skin. Developed and marketed under the CLOCell brand, the milkweed fibre represents NITRA's continued focus on sustainable, bio based textile innovation and advanced material development.

This achievement further strengthens NITRA's position as a leading textile research institution driving innovation, quality assurance and sustainable fibre technologies for the global textile industry.
