On top of that, the event generated serious business enquiries worth nearly US$ 2.8 billion.

The scale of Bharat Tex 2026 was equally impressive.

Spread across more than 16 lakh square feet, the event featured 1,647 exhibitors. It welcomed nearly 95,000 business visitors, including more than 20,000 repeat visits. There were 11,315 buyers, of which 6,090 came from overseas. Another 3,461 delegates and participants represented 138 countries. Business never slowed down. More than 28,500 B2B meetings took place, along with over 100 B2G and G2G interactions and several high-level investment discussions.

India's states came in full force. Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu participated as State Partners. Several other states and Union Territories also set up dedicated pavilions to showcase their strengths.

The presence of Hon'ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Dr. Mohan Yadav and Hon'ble Chief Minister of Punjab Shri Bhagwant Singh Mann, along with senior ministers from Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, showed just how important BharatTex has become.

The global turnout was just as strong. Ministerial delegations arrived from New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Russia, Cambodia and Portugal. Representatives from the European Union also attended. More than 30 international business delegations came from countries including the United States, Japan, United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, South Korea, UAE, Australia, France and Germany.

Business was only one part of the story. Ideas flowed just as fast.

More than 100 knowledge sessions brought together over 600 policymakers, industry leaders, global experts, CXOs and academicians. They discussed global trade, sustainability, circularity, artificial intelligence, responsible sourcing, investment opportunities and technical textiles.

Bharat Tex also focused on inclusion. More than 250 entrepreneurs and weavers from Aspirational Districts visited the show. They met buyers and industry experts and learned about branding, exports, product innovation and global quality standards.

Another major highlight was the signing of a Letter of Intent (LoI) between the Bharat Tex Trade Federation (BTTF) and Première Vision Paris. The partnership will strengthen India-Europe textile ties through sustainable sourcing, better market access, design intelligence and stronger buyer-seller engagement.

Sustainability also remained in the spotlight. The Eco-Stitch Sustainability & Circularity Hub, organised by CMAI and the Global Alliance for Textile Sustainability (GATS), showcased practical recycling and circular business solutions. Visitors explored zones such as India Impact Wall, Circularity at Scale, From Waste to Global Wardrobe, Made in Circular Bharat, Material & Innovation Library and the Circular Bharat Forum.

There was also a strong message for India's traditional crafts. Renowned designers Rahul Mishra and Vaishali Shadangule, along with industry leaders, said India's handlooms, handicrafts and traditional weaving can become premium global brands through quality craftsmanship and powerful storytelling.

By the time the curtains came down, one thing was clear. BharatTex 2026 was not just a showcase. It was a business powerhouse. It connected the world with India, attracted fresh investments, opened new markets and strengthened India's journey towards becoming the world's preferred textile sourcing destination.
