Texprocil And CottonConnect Sign MoU To Boost Kasturi Cotton Exports

The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (Texprocil) and CottonConnect (South Asia) Pvt. Ltd. have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing the productivity, quality, and global competitiveness of Indian cotton under the Kasturi Cotton Bharat brand.

The collaboration seeks to provide training, workshops, and information platforms for ginners to consistently meet Kasturi specifications. Also, both parties to work towards raising awareness among farmers and supply chain stakeholders to improve cotton quality and optimize productivity.

Further, it would ensure a steady supply of Kasturi cotton for domestic and international markets, including Organic, BCI, and Regenerative varieties with full traceability.

Under the agreement, Texprocil will lead marketing initiatives for the Kasturi brand, while CottonConnect will focus on farmer training, workshops, and sustainability programs. Both parties will jointly identify and enroll ginners, targeting at least 30 participants in the first year.

The partnership is expected to generate premium value for cotton producers and strengthen India’s position in the global textile market by promoting transparency, sustainability, and resilience in the cotton supply chain.
