Techno Electronics To Venture Into Techtex Testing Soon

Testing devices are of paramount importance to the textile industry.  R Balakrishnan CEO Techno Electronics & Instruments' spoke to Textile Excellence about the products and prospects of his company.

What are the products that Techno Electronics & Instruments is offering?

We manufacture all textile testing devices except high volume devices and evenness testers. At ITME 2016, we launched a pneumatic tester. Our company is a reputed manufacturer and exporter of an extensive range of textile testing instruments for cotton, yarn and fabrics. These products are used in quality control labs of ginners, spinners, yarn as well as cotton traders, besides garment makers and fabric manufacturing units.

Tell us something about your company's focus and manufacturing facilities.

A strong infrastructure focus has been one of the key driving factors behind our growth story. We make it a point to keep in sync with the latest technological developments. We always strive to match with the rapid pace at which technology changes and upgrade our manufacturing facility at periodical intervals. Our well equipped factory shop floor has been a trendsetter, with its modern machinery and adherence to quality management systems. Safety is another area where there is no compromise. We make sure that all the safety norms and regulations are followed in our manufacturing unit. Adequate care has been taken to provide a healthy and productivity boosting environment for our team members.  Importantly, every one of our departments is managed by some of the finest talents in the industry.

Do you have any plans to launch any new textile testing devices?

We plan to launch fire detectors and a blendomat soon. Our fire detection system will come with a sprinkler system. We also have plans to launch a Neps and Thrash Analyser which will detect nep content in fibres. We are in the process of developing another device to measure evenness. All these devices have been developed by us in-house.

We also intend to introduce instruments to test technical textiles. We plan to set up a separate marketing as well as research and development facility. By April 2017, we would have taken more steps in this direction.
