Statex Breaks New Ground With Its Latest Instruments

Statex is the forefront of the textile machinery & quality control equipment market. Statex sounded `optimism' about the company's future? Who is writing these BS sentences???? In a one-on-one interview with Textile Excellence, K Subramaniam, Managing Director of Statex Engineering Pvt. Ltd. spoke at length about the company's latest products and a range of issues affecting the textile machinery market.

Tell us about the secret behind your success story. You have a strong global presence as of today and well known name in the field of testing.

It all began way back in 1985. I put in more than eight years of dedicated service in a Textile Research Association. I focused my energies on textile testing instrument research and development. With the blend of experience and skills I acquired, we as a group were able to establish ourselves as a name throughout the world.

As of today, Statex can boast of 70% of total instrumentation market shares in India. When it comes to export oriented units, we do still better. In this segment Statex commands 91% of the market share.

Can you elaborate on your internal core strengths that help you achieve these heights?

Statex is built up of 230 highly qualified personnel comprising managerial, administrative and commercial staffs, qualified engineers, supervisory staffs, skilled workers and others. The unique design and quality of Statex is accepted worldwide.

It has met the challenge of quality control in the present textile world with its instruments of unmatched performance. Currently we are present in the market for the production of cotton testing instruments, yarn testing instruments and compact retrofitting attachment for spinning frame.

Can you explain your patented technology that is making ripples in the textile industry?

Our patented technology is christened as Summit Compact. It doubles the life of compact top roller while using multiple angle suction slot with special pressure pad in suction tube. After the run over of the first path on the top roller cots, without buffing, all our client has to do is interchange the cots assembly in the adjacent top arms. This provides a new path which doubles the life of cots and also avoids frequent buffing schedule thereby increasing the life of top aprons, bottom aprons, and the lattice aprons.

Can you tell us more about the advantages of Sirocompact to your customers.

Sirocompact helps our clients come up with excellent yarn strength, evenness and low hairiness. It makes the surface appearance look like double yarn. It is excellent replacement of double yarn for some cloths. In addition, customers can change Statex Sirocompact double roving to Statex Summit Compact single roving and vice versa. It can be achieved by replacing some components.

In addition, Summit Compact will take care to lead the adjustant spindle fiber path to maintain equal center distance from the center of the top arm. This will provide accurate equal top arm distribution on fiber drafting. On the whole, we conclude that Summit Compact provides less maintenance cost by increasing the life of compact components and at the same time improves the quality of the yarn.

Explain to us the Double Compact technology with which your compact attachments are currently flooding the market.

The additional slot in between the nipping point and twisting zone is called as "Double Compact." This is having further advantage as the aligned fibres are carried up to the twisting zone by an additional suction slot. Double Compact technology is to align the fibres in parallel and to bring the fibres very close to each other by positive suction and delivering up to the twisting zone.

How is the response at the India ITME 2016 exhibition?

So far, we received senior decision making executives from various regions and we are expecting many more new entrants into our fray. Our dedicated clients visited us in huge numbers and our prospective new clients are also showing serious interest in the products we have showcased here. The exhibition has been satisfactory for us and we are looking forward to brokering new territories in both the Indian and international markets.
