SKAAT Brings In Innovative Product Array

Skaat founded by G Radhakrishnan in 1999 is one of the largest privately owned corporates in the textile fancy yarn machinery segment in India. At India ITME 2016, Skaat elegantly showcased its latest innovations and products meant for future use in the textile machinery realm. G Radhakrishnan Managing Director, Skaat in an exclusive interview with Textile Excellence dwells on his company profile and graduates to the company's recent achievements in the market segments.

Tell us about your journey so far.

Since our founding in 1999, we have established a network of subsidiaries and international sales and support teams around the world. This guarantees us global knowhow at the local level. Since inception, all our innovations and investments have been concentrated on the core area, namely solutions for fancy yarn spinning.

What has been your strategy for success?

We take numerous surveys on different occasions about consumer's Consumer feedback, knowing what the end consumer wants, has been the secret of our success.

Thus, we started manufacturing sophisticated fancy yarn attachments for spinning mills. We are essentially trend setters in fancy yarns. We have a well-planned and far-sighted strategy that we avail to build up an enviable reputation and place of pride globally. At present, the group has its operations in more than five countries.

Tell us about the products you showcased during India ITME 2016.

Skaat Kaleidoscope is an imaginative yarn with colored fibres. It's an art of producing five different types of yarn at a ring frame. Skaat Core is another item worthy of mention. The system is designed for both soft and rigid core yarn. It incorporates filament detector along with roving stop motion which ensures high quality core yarn.

Skaat Injection slubs are the prize catch for the textile machinery industry. We have a single roving injection which helps different material to get injected on base yarn at random. We also have double roving injection in which material can be injected between two rovings at random. Two other products I would like to mention are Skaat Twin Safe & Skaat Rainbow.

Twin Safe is an art of producing double yarn at spinning frame, thus winding & doubling process is completely eliminated. This results in sustained yarn quality with lower manufacturing cost. Rainbow system produces multi colored yarn at ring frame, by feeding up to four simplex bobbins for each spindle. We received excellent response to all our products.

Can you tell us about your presence in the domestic and overseas markets?

At present the Indian market is very good. On the export segment we have presence in Indonesia, Mexico, Bangladesh and Mauritius among other countries. Right now our market in Indonesia and Turkey is booming. In the domestic market, there is an increased demand factor from Northern India. Of late, Southern India clients are also going in for new products and innovations.
