The 9th Uniform and Garment Manufacturers’ Fair
2025 concluded in Mumbai after drawing strong participation from India’s
growing uniform and institutional wear industry. Held from November 26 to 28 at
the NESCO Exhibition Centre in Goregaon, the event brought together over 150
brands and served as a comprehensive B2B sourcing hub for school, corporate,
healthcare, hospitality, and industrial uniforms.
Priyavrata Mafatlal, Vice Chairman of Arvind Mafatlal Group,
attended the event and highlighted the sector’s rising momentum. He noted that
the fair reflected the industry’s blend of craftsmanship and scale and praised
the clarity of purpose shown by participating manufacturers. He added that
collaboration among stakeholders is shaping new pathways for growth across the
garment sector.
The Solapur Garment Manufacturers Association (SGMA), the
organiser of the fair, curated a wide showcase featuring more than 10,000
designs and 25,000 fabric options. Exhibitors presented advanced blends,
specialised workwear textiles, and high-durability garment solutions aligned
with India’s expanding institutional demand.
The fair reinforced Solapur’s ambition to strengthen its
position as a national hub for uniform manufacturing at a time when India’s
workwear and institutional apparel market is projected to grow at over 10%
annually. Industry leaders viewed the convergence as a timely opportunity to
accelerate product innovation, strengthen supply chains, and tap new domestic
and export opportunities.
