India and Chile have renewed efforts to fast-track negotiations on a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), as both sides move to deepen trade, investment and commercial ties. A high-level Chilean delegation led by Foreign Minister H.E. Francisco Pérez Mackenna visited India for bilateral talks with Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to expanding economic cooperation and boosting business-to-business engagement. Discussions focused on accelerating CEPA negotiations, with emphasis on trade facilitation, market access and investment flows. Officials also held parallel meetings on strengthening institutional cooperation and improving economic frameworks. A key focus was unlocking opportunities in critical minerals, renewable energy, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure and digital services. An India–Chile Business Roundtable in New Delhi brought together industry leaders to explore new partnerships and supply chain linkages. Both countries highlighted strong economic complementarities and pledged to work towards an early and mutually beneficial conclusion of the CEPA.
